Meet Mike Thomas, Manager of Economic Development with Parramatta City
Council, and Director of Economic Development Australia.
Originally from 'Old South Wales", Mike moved to Australia nearly 7 years
ago to manage a range of business programs for the State Government. Since
early 2006, Mike has been heading up Council's engagement with businesses
who are taking up the significant opportunities offered by Parramatta's
growth into one of Australia's most exciting cities.
Mike will draw from his experiences of working with some of the most
exciting businesses in the UK and Australia, and his insight into some of
the current trends affecting the local area. Mike will highlight a number
of opportunities for Social Enterprise development in Parramatta based on recent research.
